Step by step
- Decide by lifestyle: cloth (laundry at home) or disposables (convenience) — or both.
- For disposables, look for fragrance-free, lotion-free, and TCF/elemental-chlorine-free bleaching claims.
- For cloth, choose organic cotton or hemp inserts; avoid covers marketed as ‘stain-resistant’.
- Use fragrance-free wipes or water + cloth wipes.
- Rinse cloth with a sprayer; wash hot with fragrance-free detergent.
Study glowPFAS in diapers is an emerging-research area; some small studies have tested for them — uncertain, check original studies. Fragrance-free is the clear, easy win.
