Nursery Air: Purifier + What NOT to Spray
B’s hive fans fresh air with buzzing wings. Your nursery can borrow the trick.
PANEL 1
B flaps wings by a window.
“Fresh air, incoming!”
PANEL 2
A scented plug-in glows menacingly.
“You’re not invited.”
PANEL 3
A purifier hums like a spaceship.
“Quiet engines, clean skies.”
Step by step
- Ventilate: open windows after painting or new furniture.
- Run a true HEPA purifier sized by CADR for the room.
- Damp-dust and HEPA-vacuum weekly — dust carries flame retardants and PFAS.
- Skip air fresheners, plug-ins, scented candles and fabric sprays.
- Avoid ‘stain-protect’ sprays on rugs and furniture.
Study glowEPA notes indoor air can be more polluted than outdoor air; ventilation and source control come first (EPA indoor air guidance).
